Susan G. Komen is the only organization with a 360-degree approach to fighting breast cancer on all fronts. We fund life-changing research. We advocate for compassionate public policy and patient rights. We empower people with fact-based information. We provide the treatment assistance and emotional support patients need. This 360-degree approach is what’s needed to achieve our mission — a world without breast cancer.
Since its founding in 1982, Susan G. Komen has funded more than $800 million in research and provided more than $1.6 billion in funding to screening, education, treatment and psychosocial support programs serving millions of people in more than 30 countries worldwide.
As the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists, we’re working together to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. Thanks to events like the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk and generous contributions from our partners, sponsors and fellow supporters, we have become the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world.
Since our inception, Komen Wisconsin has invested more than $17.9 million in local community breast health programs and education as well as more than $6.1 million to the most promising breast cancer research programs. This remarkable growth would not be possible without you!
